Tripp Sports Performance

Pitching Lessons in Spring, TX

One-on-one and small-group pitching instruction from coaches who pitched in pro ball, built around mechanics, measurable velocity, and arm health.

Pitching Instruction From Former Pros

Our pitching program is run by Pitching Coordinator Johnathon Tripp, who spent eight years pitching professionally, including time in the Cincinnati Reds organization, and threw 514 pro innings with a 3.67 career ERA. He works alongside owner Christian Tripp, a 13th-round MLB Draft pick, and throwing specialist Landon Murray, the all-time strikeout leader at the University of St. Thomas and a Team USA coach.

That means the coach in the bullpen with your athlete has actually faced the hitters, the pitch counts, and the pressure that come with pitching at the next level.

What A Pitching Lesson Covers

  • Delivery and mechanics: lower-half drive, hip-shoulder separation, arm path, and release
  • Velocity development built on strength, mobility, and sequencing, not just more throwing
  • Pitch design and grips for breaking balls and changeups
  • Personalized throwing programs for in-season and off-season
  • Command work and bullpen planning
  • Arm care and recovery habits that keep pitchers healthy

Data You Can Actually See

We track pitches with Trackman and Rapsodo, so velocity, spin, and movement are measured instead of guessed. Athletes and parents can see where a pitcher started and how they're progressing, and each throwing program is adjusted based on those numbers.

Who It's For

We work with pitchers of every age, from youth players learning a sound delivery for the first time to high school arms chasing a college roster spot and college pitchers training in the off-season. TSP athletes have gone on to play at Missouri, Texas A&M–Kingsville, and the University of St. Thomas.

Pitching Memberships

Pitching instruction is part of our Skill Training ($350/month) and Player Development ($500/month) memberships. Player Development adds three group workouts a week, a weekly hour of 1-on-1 skill work, and a personalized throwing program. Pitchers outside the area can use Remote Training ($250/month) for video-based feedback. See all options on the programs page.
